How long do the sessions typically take?

My timeframes are usually generous and also dependent on the package you select. For quick headshots and portraits, I do offer mini sessions. I recommend booking at least an 2 hours with me for a branding session to get the most out of your experience.

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

When you place a deposit, you can be confident that the date/time on my schedule is 100% yours! When rescheduling or canceling your original session date, I lose out on business. But I understand life happens and sometimes you may have to cancel last minute. So to keep things fair for both of us, deposits are required and non-refundable.

When do I pay the remainder? Can I pay all upfront?

My payment plans are set up in two payments - a deposit and a final payment. The second payment (remaining payment and any travel fees) is due immediately following your session before we both leave. Final payment is due before any images can be delivered.

What are location and travel fees?

Location and travel fees apply for sessions outside of the Whatcom County Area, Washington State. The regular travel fee is $0.585 per mile.

What happens if it rains?

I totally get it - life happens! If the weather is crazy or I am sick etc, we will put your deposit toward a re-schedule. However, if you simply don't show up to the session, the deposit will not be refunded. I need at least 14 days' notice to reschedule your session. However, if you need to cancel and do not want to reschedule, your deposit is not refunded. Sorry!

Can I bring a friend to hype me up?

Of course! I'm all about the hype! Bring a spouse, friend, family member, or whoever can help you feel more comfortable.

How and when will I receive my photos?

You will receive the edited images within 2 to 4 weeks of your session depending on your package choice. You will receive an email from me with your free online gallery. There you can print, download and share your photos on your social media.

Do I get to select my photos?

No, but for a good reason! Part of my job is making the best selections of the most flattering photographs. The images I don't deliver are repeats, blurry, shots of you blinking or mid-sentence speaking. We all know we don't want ANY of those photos anyway! Part of you choosing me to be your photographer is because you trust me and you've seen my work. I got you!

Can I have the unedited raw photos?

I do not deliver raw images for your benefit. Raw images usually need much editing for color and light correction. I go through and edit each selected image to keep a cohesive look for your brand. Trusting my experience insures your images look professional. We want to avoid any over-use of filters or clashing with your brand.

What if I don't like the final images sent to me?

I have never had an unhappy client in my 3 years of photography services - really! This is because I make sure to communicate clearly BEFORE scheduling a session. One of the ways I do this is by scheduling a free online or in-person consultation. From there we talk about each other's expectations and work with each other up to the photo session. Everything is planned and approved by you before the actual shoot. I encourage you to look at my past work to make sure my photography style is a good fit for you.
